Margaret A. Walker is Executive Director of Youth With A Positive Direction (a non-for-profit organization). Youth With A Positive Direction, an after-school program that encourages and train young people to live productive lives by resisting negative influences and focusing on the positive through mentoring, peer leadership and community services, was founded by Mrs. Walker in 1989.
Mrs. Walker is also the owner of Westside New Creation Beauty Salon and co-owner of Walker Funeral Service & Chapel.
Dr. Thomas E. Walker, community leader, entrepreneur, pastor, and founder of the Main Street Church of the Living God.
Dr. Walker graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1968. In 1971, he attended a School of Arts in Los Angeles for commercial modeling. Dr. Walker had a desire and a vision to return to Decatur in order to enhance the community for all people. Upon his return, he obtained two full-time employment positions: Caterpillar Corporation and Firestone Inc.
